'The boat' is my current project. I am now (16-11-2009) on the Gold Coast staying on my Roberts29 while I promote the book. From here I will start my search for a ketch, somewhere between 40 and 50ft that I can live on and restore. I will search the Internet as well as travel up and down the East coast of Oz leaving my details with boat brokers and locals. I expect that the boat that I am looking for will not be being advertised for sale, but rather languishing somewhere up a creek, on a mooring or at anchor, waiting for me to find it.

  I have already started spreading the word through friends and boat brokers that I am looking.

   At this stage 'the boat' needs to be a timber ketch, 40 to 50ft, "on the water" but otherwise in run down condition. I may re-define my requirements as reality dictates.
